Friendly Truck Driving School has been providing driving instructions for the last several years. We are “Registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005″. Our training includes Class “A” (Tractor-Trailer),Class “B” (Bus), Class “C” (Coach) and Class “D” (Straight Truck). We are aware that the needs and knowledge of each student are different therefore we have designed our training courses to fit their needs. Due to this reasons we have also introduced variable course fees. New classes start every Monday; lessons are given seven days a week except statutory holidays. Our mission is to provide excellent training to our students. Training with Friendly Truck Driving School ensures that you will drive with confidence and have the remarkable skills for a wonderful career.

School Bus Driver Training

Class B: You are qualified to drive any school purposes bus and may also drive vehicle in Class C, D, E, F and G

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age
Meet medical & vision standards
Must have valid Ontario driver’s license “G” or higher
Not have accumulated more than 6 demerit points
Not have had a driver’s license under suspension at any time within the preceding 12 months as a result of being convicted of certain driving related and Criminal Code of Canada offenses.

Air Brake “Z” Endorsement

Course Description:

This course will introduce the student to the air brake system of a tractor and trailer combination. It will also by theory and practical exercises, allow the student to become familiar with the Air Brake Systems. This course is a required for anyone driving a vehicle with an air brake systems. Written and practical exams are given at the end of the course

Prerequisites:
Must have an Ontario valid driver’s license “G” or higher

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course participant will be able to explain how the air brake system works
Able to identify the defects according to the Highway Traffic Act
check brake adjustments

Duration: 12 to 16 hours

This course will give the student the knowldege and insight to understand the professional driving habits. It will prepare the student for applying good driving habits.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods

This course will give the student the knowledge of the driver requirement that are mandatory by Transportation of Dangerous Good Federal Regulations, and the Ontario Dangerous Goods Transportation Ac, as well as consequences for non-compliance.

Upon successful completion of the course participant will be able to understand the rules and the regulations
Responsibilities of Consignors, Carriers and driver duties
Identifying dangerous goods
Understand the Emergency Response Assistance Planning

Hours of Service

Course Description:
This module will give a student the knowledge pertaining to the Hours of Services rules in the Highway Traffic Act and the regulations. It will also provide the student with the skill to obey these rules and give the knowledge of how to complete the log book.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course participant will be able to understand the purpose of the hours of service rules
Understand the differences between Canadian and US rules
Understand the violation and the penalties
How to complete a daily log
